NOAKHALI: A Chhatra Dal activist was shot dead and seven others were chopped to injure by the miscreants in Amishapara Bazar area of Sonaimuri upazila of the district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Parvez, 18, son of Jahangir Alam of Amishapara.

The incident took place around 2:30pm on Thursday.

Sources said the victims were returning home from Amishapara Bazar. On way, miscreants attacked them and killed Parvez and injured others seven.

Local BNP men alleged Chhatra League and Juba League men attacked them.

Officer-in-Charge of Sonaimuri Thana Abdus Samad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
