DHAKA: US ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena had seperate meetings with Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam and BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday night.

Both the meetings were held in the residence of Mozena’s Gulshan residence in the city.

The first meeting with Mirza Fakhrul was held from 6:00pm to 7:20pm while the meeting with Syed Ashraf started at around 8:00pm and continued till 9:30pm.

Diplomatic sources said that various international organizations, countries and United Nations urged two top political parties to sit for dialogue and Mozena is actually playing role as a representative of them.

Dan Mozena is hopeful about holding the dialogue between two leaders of ruling Awami League and main opposition BNP.
