GAZIPUR: Around 1500 people were sued in a connection with violence during 18-party’s 60-hour hartal in the district on Sunday.

Police, however, held 25 people in last 24 hours’ drive.

Three cases were filed with Jaydebpur police station while two with Kaliganj and one with Sreepur police station.

The duty officers of the police stations confirmed the matter.

Police sources said that they are in alert position to arrest the accused.

However police raided local BNP leaders’ home including central leader of the party and former MP Hasan Uddin Sarker.

Gazipur Police Super Abdul Baten PPM confirmed the matter to banglanews.
