DHAKA: At least 17 cocktails were blasted at different spots of the capital on Sunday during early hours of 60-hour hartal called by 18-party alliance.

In Dhanmondi: Eight cocktails were exploded at Dhanmondi in the city at around 05:30am.

Witnesses said that 10/15 picketers suddenly came at the corner Abahani filed in Dhanmondi area and blasted cocktails and fled the scene.  

In Tikatuli: Miscreants blasted three cocktails aiming the office of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 in city’s Tikatuli area.

Sources said that some miscreants blasted cocktails from back door of RAB-3 office at around 9:00am and fled the scene.

In Karwan Bazar: At least four cocktails were blasted by some unidentified miscreants near SAARC fountain in the area.

Meanwhile, miscreants also blasted two cocktails in Farmgate area.

In Khilgaon: Three cocktails were exploded from a rally of Juba Dal in the area.

Sources said that Rampura Thana unit Juba Dal brought out a procession at around 8:00am and blasted three cocktails.

Confirming the matter Khilgaon Thana Officer-in-Charge Sirajul Islam Sheikh told banglanews, “A police team visited the spot.”
