NARAYANGANJ: Police, in nightlong drives, held 25 leaders and activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir from various places of the district early Tuesday.

Amongst the detainees, six are Jamaat-e-Islami men and Chhatra Shibir while rests are BNP men.

Police sources said that they were arrested apprehending to conduct subversive acts.

Narayanganj Sadar Model police station Sub-Inspector Mijanur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
