DHAKA: Former president of Chhatra Dal Sultan Salauddin Tuku was shown arrest in two cases filed with Paltan Thana.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, assistant commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media Center Abu Yusuf said, “The cases were filed for obstructing and attacking police on Monday night.”

The cases were filed against hundred opposition leaders and activists, but their names were not disclosed.

Law enforcers arrested former president of Jatiyotabadi Chhatra Dal Sultan Salahuddin Tuku from in front of BNP Nayapaltan office on Monday night.

The incident took place when party chairperson Khaleda Zia went to party’s central office to see ailing leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
