KHULNA: Police held two leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami raiding in Paikgacha upazila of the district early Saturday.

The detainees are --ward no 8 of Chandkhali union Jamaat Amir Maulana Abdul Bari, 55 and ward UP member Kamrul Islam, 35 also a Jamaat advisor.

Paikgachha police station Officer-in-Charge Mashiur Rahman told banglanews, “Acting on a tip off police held them from their houses at around 1:30am.”

Earlier on Friday night, police held 10 Jamaat activists from Dumuria Upazila of the district.
