BRAHMANBARIA: At least 30 people were injured in a clash between Awami League and BNP supporters at Sarail Upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The injured were sent to Upazila health complex and local clinics.

Sources said that centering a bad remark on of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Awami league supporter Tofazzal Hossain locked into altercation with BNP supporter Billal Mia.

Following the incident, their supporters locked into fierce clash with lethal weapons, leaving 30 injured.

Meanwhile, 8/10 houses were vandalized and looted during the clash.

Confirming the matter Sarail Thana Officer-in-Charge Uttam Chakrabarty told banglanews, “The situation is under control now.”
