CHITTAGONG: Hefajat-e-Islam on Thursday claimed that the bomb explosion at Nayeb-e-Amir Mufti Izhar’s Madrasa was simply an accident.

Organizing Secretary of the party Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi made the claim while addressing a press conference at a community center at Hathazari on Thursday.

He said, “The government made a false and fabricated story against Hefajat. Actually the fire was originated from an electric IPS, gas cylinder and cooking kerosene.”

When journalists asked various questions about his statement Azizul left the press conference immediately without answer.

Senior Nayeb-e-Amir Maulana Shamsul Alam, Nayeb-e-Amir and city unit president Hafez Maulana Tazul Islam were present at the press meet.
