DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas on Wednesday said the people would come out in streets on October 24 following call of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The senior leader of the party came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion at Institute of Engineers Association on Wednesday as chief guest.
He said after October 24, when Khaleda Zia will call the people of the country, they would come out on streets leaving their home.
Mirza Abbas said, “If BNP came in power, we would not tolerate intervene of any foreign country.”
Indicating the incumbent government, he added: “If the fascist government assumes power again, Bangladesh will turn into a private limited company.”
With Engineer Jahirul Islam in the chair, the programme was also addressed, among others, by BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed and Poet Abdul Hye Sikder.
