DHAKA: Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina alleged that BNP-Jamaat alliance patronize militancy across the country.

Joy came up with the observation in a status update on social network site, Facebook on Wednesday.

Sajeeb Wazed Joy said, “The explosion and subsequent discovery of explosives at Izahar’s madrasa and recent arrests of HUJI group militias with weapons and explosives has illustrated an ominous spell in the country.”

Alleging BNP-Jamaat behind the terrorism ahead of the polls he said, “These terrorist groups were all patronized by the BNP-Jamaat and they carried out attack after attack during the BNP’s previous regime. There were bomb attacks on our courts, at a movie hall in Mymensingh, the grenade attack on my mother, 500 simultaneous bombs nationwide, the list goes on and on.”

Joy urged countrymen to vote Awami League saying, “Awami League Government is able to thwart these attempts as we have made arrests such as these every few weeks for the past several months due to the determined counter terrorism effort.”

“Awami League is the only thing standing between terrorist and security. If you vote for the BNP you will not be safe on the streets, your children will not be safe in schools,” he further added.
