DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said the government has to be ousted as it is searching various techniques to hold elections without opposition.
“The only target of the people is now to oust the government and restore caretaker government system,” he said.
The senior leader of the party came up with the observation while addressing an extended meeting organized by Swechhasebak Dal at a city hotel in the afternoon.
He said, “There is no more intra-conflict among party men. All have to unite to topple the fascist government. Our target is to protect the democracy and country.”
The spokesperson for the party also urged Swechhasebak Dal men to work unitedly for greater interest of the country.
Swechhasebak Dal president Habib-un-Nabi Khan presided over the programme.
