DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal-1 issued a show-cause notice to Bangladesh Bar Council vice-chairman Advocate Khandakar Mahabub Hossain asking to explain by October 21 why contempt of court charge should not be brought against him.

The three-member tribunal led-by ATM Fazle Kabir issued the notice on Sunday morning.

On Thursday, prosecution brought the contempt of court allegation against the adviser of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for threatening the people involved in war trial immediately after the issuance of the verdict of Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.

Later, prosecutor Zead Al Malum moved for the prosecution.
