FROM SYLHET: The leaders and activists of Chhatra Shibir locked into a fierce clash with Chhatra Dal at Khaleda Zia’s rally venue Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet on Saturday afternoon.

The student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami locked into the clash with Chhatra Dal, student wing of BNP, over centering the control of the place in front of the main stage at 2.00pm.

Witnesses said the sporadic clash begun as Shibir activists run over JCD men with knob sticks and managed to hold a control into the place.

Later, senior leaders managed to bring the situation under control.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia took her seat at the stage of Sylhet rally at 3:00pm at Alia Madrasa ground.

Earlier, Khaleda Zia reached at Sylhet Circuit House at 1:15am Saturday leaving Dhaka at 5:40pm Friday.
