DHAKA: Dhaka’s mayor and BNP leader Sadek Hossain Khoka dropped down ill during party’s demonstration in the capital on Sunday afternoon and was rushed to Banani United Hospital.

“He fell sick while leading the party procession in protest against the assault on journalists,” said his personal assistant Monir Hossain.

The procession, part of the opposition party’s countrywide demonstrations, then marched from Paltan to Mouchak.

He is now under doctor’s observation.
