DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed on Thursday said election under non-partisan caretaker government is only the way to solve all problems.
The senior leader of the party came up with the observation while addressing a programme at the National Press Club.
Several socio-political personalities attended the function demanding immediate to withdraw ban on Diganta Television.
He said, “The election must be held. There is no doubt about it. To bring back county’s stability there is no alternative to holding election but the election must be held under the supervision of the caretaker government.”
Moudud also termed country’s present situation as like as autocratic rules.
BNP leader ASM Hannan Shah, Krisak Sramik Janata League President Kader Siddiqui and daily Nayadiganta Editor Alamgir Mohiuddin were among others present in the programme.
