DHAKA: Eminent politician and former BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan`s health condition remained unchanged on Tuesday, doctors said.

Bhuiyan has been on life support at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Square Hospital since Wednesday.

"His physical condition did not improve in the last seven days as we expected," says ICU chief of the hospital Dr Mirza Nazim Uddin.   

Dr Uddin told banglanews24.com.bd that Bhuiyan’s condition did neither improve nor deteriorate. The doctors kept him on a close observation.

"We predicted that his lung pain would reduce, but he has been suffering from optical pneumonia and chemical pneumonitis," he said.
