DHAKA: President Zillur Rahman returns home on Tuesday evening after undergoing a medical checkup on a 10-day visit to the United Kingdom.

The President, who left London on Monday night, will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Emirates flight at 7:55pm after an overnight stopover in Dubai, an official release said.

He left Dhaka for the UK on 19 June and had his health checkup at Cromwell Hospital.

On Sunday night, a delegation of UK correspondents of different print and electronic media of Bangladesh called on the President at Hilton Hotel in the British capital.

During the meeting, the President urged all media personnel to project the prospects of Bangladesh in their respective media.

President`s son, Nazmul Hasan MP, and secretaries concerned of the President`s office were also present.

Besides, a delegation of Bangladesh Caterers Association, UK, called on the President at his hotel suite.
