DHAKA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed in the capital on Tuesday to maintain law-and-order ahead of Wednesday’s hartal called by Jamaat-e-Islami.

Some 16-platoons of BGB personnel would take position in different points of the city from 8:00pm.

A reliable source confirmed the matter to banglanews on Tuesday evening.

Allude to Jamaat-e-Islami called a 48-hour hartal from 6:00am Wednesday protesting the Supreme Court verdict that sentenced Qauder Mollah to death for committing crimes against humanity.
