DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, categorically said police forces have to work for the people to attain their trust and respect as the force is the last shelter of people.
The premier came up with the assertion while addressing an inaugural ceremony of newly-built NCCOM center (Crime control and Operation Monitoring Center) for Bangladesh police on Sunday morning.
Sheikh Hasina also said that Awami League is working for modernization of police forces since the independence.
The program was attended, among others, by Home Minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Japanese ambassador Shiro Sadoshima, State Minister for Home Shamsul Haque Tuku, Home Ministry senior secretary CQK Mostaq Ahmed and Police IG Hasan Mahmud Khandaker.
