DHAKA: The visiting delegation of European Union (EU) is set to meet Jamaat-e-Islami, the key ally of BNP-led opposition alliance, on Wednesday evening.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 7.00PM at a Gulshan residence where four senior Jamaat leaders including Dr Abdullah Mohammad Taher are likely to join.
Sources said current political situation and Jamaat’s participation in the next general election would likely to be the nucleus points in the discussion.
The EU delegation team had meetings with senior leaders and policy makers of ruling Awami League, its key ally Jatiya Party and main opposition BNP.
EU delegates are also scheduled to meet different schools of civil society during their 15-day visit in Bangladesh.
