NARSINGDI: Urging the government to dissolve parliament, opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia categorically said that her party would not participate in any election without non-party government.

“No election will be fair under Sheikh Hasina’s government,” she added.

She came up with the observation while addressing a mass rally at Balur-Math in Narsingdi on Sunday afternoon.

Khaleda Zia also said her party would not participate and would not allow any election to be held without non-party government.

Meanwhile, the rally began around 2:30pm with Narsingdi district BNP president Khairul Kabir Khokan in the chair. Local leaders of the party are addressing in the rally.

The leader of the opposition started her first round of visit in seven divisions Sunday to foster support for opposition’s ongoing movement for restoring caretaker government system.

The other rallies will be held on September 15 in Rajshahi, on September 16 in Rangpur, on September 22 in Khulna, on September 28 in Barisal and on October 5 in Sylhet.
