DHAKA: Main opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia said conspiracy is going on democracy and rights of the countrymen.

She urged diploma engineers to aware of it and come forward to foil the conspiracy.

The opposition leader came up with the urge while holding a meeting with leaders of Diploma Engineer’s Association of Bangladesh (DEAB), a pro-BNP engineers’ organization, at her Gulshan office on Wednesday night.

She said the country is passing a transit period and democracy is on the way of ruin. Diploma engineers can play a vital role to protect the democracy of the country, she added.

She urged all for staging an awesome movement against violence, misrule, injustice of the government.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Brig Gen (retd) Hannan Shah, Vice-chairman Abdullah Al Noman.
