DHAKA: Protestors gathered at city’s Malibagh-Mouchak intersection Sunday to stage a demonstration against the recent arrest of top Jamaat leaders but dispersed quickly as police drove in.

At around 1:30 pm, they came out on the road and blocked traffic on the busy crossroads as part of their countrywide demonstrations, a banglanews24.com.bd correspondent reports.

“But the protesters scattered away as soon as a cop’s car rushed in to the spot,” the report says.
