Narayanganj: A college girl was killed and 15 other injured while a reckless truck crushed them on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway near Darikandi area of Shonargaon Thana Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Salma Akhter Runa, 20, an honours final year accounting student of Tolaram College.

Police and local people informed that the Comilla bound onion loaded truck from Dhaka (Dhaka metro cha-11-4624) hit a rickshaw and a scooter (baby taxi) at around 11am near Darikandi area. It killed Runa on the spot and injured 15 others.

The injured were admitted in different local hospitals.

Police sent the body to Narayangonj general hospital for autopsy.
