The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has directed banks to provide detailed information on the accounts of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana.
In its official correspondence, the anti-money laundering agency also requested account details related to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust.
According to the letter, Sheikh Hasina serves as the trust's chairperson, while Sheikh Rehana is one of its trustees.
Banks have been asked to submit comprehensive information, including transaction records, account opening documents, and other relevant details within five working days.
