All activities at the Akhaura land port in Brahmanbaria, remained normal on Wednesday (December 4).
According to customs and immigration officials, export activities this morning, including shipments of various goods to India, as well as the movement of passengers between the two countries, continued without disruption.
Meanwhile, 120 passengers from both Bangladesh and India crossed the border smoothly.
However, many expressed concerns over the unavailability of hotel services, which left them in a tight spot.
Khairul Alam, officer-in-charge of the Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost Police, said that passenger movement has been normal since morning. However, he mentioned a slight decrease in the number of Bangladeshi travelers.
“No complaints of harassment have been reported by Bangladeshi passengers returning from India today,” he added.
