7 held on Benapole border

BENAPOLE: Members of Bangladesh Rifles Wednesday held seven people, including children and women, on Sadipur border here while trying to cross the border illegally.

Subeder Abul Hossen of Benapole BDR told BanglaNews24.com.bd that acting on a tip-off, the BDR jawans raided Sadipur border area and held the seven.

Those detained are Swapna Bibi, 6, Ujjol, 12, of Boro Anchra village in Benapole, and Fuljan Bibi, 60, Ali Hossain, 17, Abdul Malek, 65, and Abu Taher, 30, of Bohila pota Village in Sharsha upazila.

Ali Hossain said they were going to visit their relatives in India.
