Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR) in Bangladesh detected 5 people with Coronavirus new variant JN. 1.

According to IEDCR, the virus has been found after carrying out genome sequencing among five Covid-19 patients.

The patients are from the capital and the countryside.

IEDCR Director Professor Dr. Tahmina Shirin confirmed the matter.
