Health Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen has said all hospitals and clinics, that do not have a license, will be closed. 

The minister made the statement while briefing the journalists at the Secretariat in the capital on Tuesday morning.

He said, “Temporary action has been taken against the United Medical College and Hospital over the case of the death of baby Ayaan. Action will be taken based on the report of the probe committee. The Health Ministry is against illegal hospitals and clinics across the country.” 

According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of registered private hospitals is 8,000 and clinics 9,000. 

Apart from this, the hospitals and clinics that have not yet been registered will be raided soon, said the ADG Ahmedul Kabir of the department.
