DHAKA: A highly powerful committee, headed-by Advocate Kazi Firoz Rashid, MP of the constituency, has been formed to recovery the residential halls of Jagannath University.

The decision was taken on Monday in a meeting chaired-by education minister Nurul Islam Nahid.

The other members of the committee include additional secretary (university) of education ministry Kazi Salahuddin Akbar, additional secretary (police) of home ministry, joint secretary of land ministry, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka district and president and secretary of Jagannath University teachers association.

Registrar of Jagannath University was made the member secretary of the committee.
