Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) authorities have temporarily suspended five teachers for alleged irregularities in their appointment and promotion processes.

KUET Registrar Engineer Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan confirmed the matter.

The decision was made during the university's 95th syndicate meeting, held on December 5, and chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Masud.

The suspension follows a preliminary investigation that found evidence of misconduct in the appointment and promotion of the teachers, prompting the administration to take this action.
