DHAKA: The customs authority seized 16 gold bars weighing 1.8 kilogram from soap case carrying by a passenger of an Emirates Airways fight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday morning.

Airport Customs Assistant Commissioner Nazma Jabin told banglanews, ”On suspicion, customs officers searched the passenger coming from Dubai and seized 16 gold bars from his luggage.”

Earlier, custom officers seized huge gold bars from toilet and laptop chargers in separate flights.
