DHAKA: Investors witnessed negligible gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 69 points to stand at 3,883 at the close on the forth trading day of the week.

The volume of transactions stood Tk 2,964 million with 84,797 trade deals.   

Of the issues traded, 153 advanced, 109 declined and 27 remained unchanged.

ENVOYTEX topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 289 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ARGONDENIM, SQURPHARMA, UCBL, GENNEXT PADMAOIL, TITASGAS, GP, BDBUILDING and DELTALIFE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,591 by gaining over 128 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 103 gained, 93 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
