Bashundhara Group has become a 'master franchisee' of world-famous 'Cafe Amazon' to bring the international eatery chain in Bangladesh.

In presence of Bashundhara Group’s Hon’ble Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and Hon’ble Group Director Ahmed Ibrahim Sobhan with PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company (OR) Chief Executive Disathat Panyarachun signed the agreement on behalf of respective sides in Bangkok of Thailand on Wednesday.

Thai Ambassador in Egypt Pasusith Wongsurawat and Bangladesh Embassy in Thailand Counsellor Masumur Rahaman were also present at the signing ceremony at Centara Grand hotel in Bangkok.

As per agreement, Bashundhara Group will expand ‘Café Amazon’ to more than 100 locations in Bangladesh. This collaboration highlights popularity of the brand and Thai products, fostering sustainable growth of society and local economies.

Regarding the partnership, OR Group Chief Executive Disathat Panyarachun said that the partnership represents a key step in expanding Café Amazon into Bangladesh, a market with strong economic growth and an emerging coffee culture.

“Leveraging OR’s expertise in the coffee business and Bashundhara Group’s extensive experience, particularly in food and beverage management, the collaboration aims to drive Café Amazon’s growth as well as stable and sustainable steps toward success,” he said.

Established almost two decades ago as part of Thailand's famous PTT Oil & Retail, 'Café Amazon' turned into a 'unique destination' for Bangkok travelers.

Bashundhara Group is one of the leading Bangladeshi conglomerates that trades more than one billion dollars in imports and exports. The conglomerate, is better known for housing and energy ventures, has expanded wings over different manufacturing units over the years.

Bashundhara Group operates Food Hall Restaurant, Cafe Leo coffee house and Traditional Sunflower Restaurant under hospitality initiatives.
