DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over four points to stand at 4,244 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 108009 with transaction at Tk 4,751 million. Of the issues traded, 144 advanced, 110 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

GENNEXT  topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 388 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GOLDENSON, PTL,  ARGONDENIM,  DELTALIFE, RNSPIN, DELTASPINN, LANKABAFIN, ALAMCRST  and FAMILYTEX.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,340 by gaining over 13 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 87 gained, 94 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
