DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 15 points to stand at 4,212 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 1,21,596 with transaction at Tk 4,712 million. Of the issues traded, 188 advanced, 71 declined and 19 remained unchanged.

GENNEXT topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 477 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were RNSPIN, GOLDENSON, PADMAOIL, ARGONDENIM, TALLUSPIN, UNIQUEHRL, ENVOYTEX, UCBL and GP.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,232 by gaining over 19 points.

Out of the issues traded, 124gained, 76 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
